Xochicalli
Prioritize mothering ourselves

This Divine Diva is Xochicalli. Aztecs called her the “Mother of the gods and us all.” Xochicalli is Mother as a verb. All women mother—whether they deliver their own young or nurture those around them. Often the last person we aid and nurture is ourselves. Her medallion is mounted on a bright disc, shining her bright wisdom. Within the medallion are amber and prehnite, both of these stones link with the solar plexus chakra, the center of our personal will. Xochicalli holds a beaded drum with crystals, amber and labradorite, which calls our intuition and wisdom, and a staff, indicating that strength is sometimes internal and other times external. Xochicalli reminds us that we must prioritize mothering ourselves so that we bring our heart and wisdom to those with whom we interact.
