Iris

Iris is the Greek goddess who links the gods to humanity, traveling on rainbows to carry bidding from the gods to mortals. She was said to carry jugs of water from the River Styx, with which she puts to sleep all who perjure themselves. As a goddess, Iris is associated with communication, messages, and new endeavors. This personification of a rainbow depicted a link to the heavens and earth.
