Höelun

Alone, we easily break; United, we are unbreakable

Höelun

The young and beautiful Höelun was abducted by an ambitious warlord just days after her wedding to a high-ranking official in a different clan. She remained with Yesügei, her abductor, and bore him five children, including her first-born son, Temujin, who would later become known by his title, Ghengis Khan. Yesügei was poisoned, leaving Höelun to navigate raising her five young children without the protection provided to her by her husband’s clan. Mongolia is known as the Land of Blue Sky, which is represented in this Diva’s medallion. The wolf embodies her fierce maternal instincts and protective nature, representing her guardianship over the cycle of life. her guiding presence, illuminating our path and offering insight into the depths of existence. In her right hand she raises five arrows associated with Höelun’s admonishment to her children and providing us with a clear message now: Alone, we easily break; United we are unbreakable
