Cybele
Speak truth to power and fear not the unknown

Cybele is a pre-Hellenic goddess of Asia Minor. Like most women, she was multi-faceted. Cybele mediated between the boundaries of the known and the unknown. She was also the protector of communities and city states, speaking directly to people from all walks of life. To the Greeks, she was a vivid and forceful character, associated with the wild—both in spirit and in nature. This Divine Diva reflects key elements of Cybele. The circle of life at the base refers to her evolution. The lions in her center remind us of the strength we all have at our core. The turquoise, the stone of truth-telling and the butterfly wing, remind us of her clarity and universality of speech. And her crown is simple, open, and accented with a brilliant stone of light and freedom. Cybele’s message to us is to anchor ourselves in wild, creative energies, speak truth to power, and do not fear the unknown
